PCC Announces Export Figures

TEHRAN May 25(Shana)--Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC) announced it has exported 542 thousand tons of petrochemicals, worth 352 million dollars, over the first two months of current Iranian calendar year that began March 21 2015.

Heavy cuts, parazylene and liquid gas (butane and propane) with 116, 104 and 89 thousand tons respectively were the main petrochemical items the company exported during the period.

Petrochemical production capacity is expected to rise this year after South Pars gas field phases 15&16 and 17&18 become operational before the end of current year. Moreover, it is expected rising gas production and availability of feedstock for to raise foreign exchange revenues of the country up to 2 billion dollars annually.

There are around 60 partly-finished petrochemical projects in the country. These projects are expected to raise petrochemical production capacity to 120 million tons per year once completed.

Petrochemical Commercial Company is the largest supplier of Iran’s petrochemical products to the international markets. It is also one of the major Middle-Eastern companies, which is involved in marketing and sales of petrochemical products to the domestic and overseas markets.
