IOEC Starts Shore Pulling Operations

TEHRAN June 01(Shana)--Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) announced laying pipelines in South Pars gas field phases 20&21 has reached shore pulling phase.

Director of pipeline projects at IOEC Motalleb Afshari made the remarks, adding the company tries hard to complete shore pulling operations next week.  

He also predicted pipe laying at phases 20&21 will be completed early December.

It is expected South Pars gas field phases 20&21 will be able to supply one billion cubic feet of gas per day after installation of its related platforms.

Afshari said that two 32 inches parallel pipeline with 100 km in length will carry gas from phases 20&21 platforms to the shore.

He said construction of phases 20&21 platforms have progressed by 64 and 71 percent respectively, noting drilling 8 wells of 11 wells of the phases is over now implying drilling operations have made progress by 70 percent.

Development plan of South Pars gas field phases 20&21 aims at production of 50 million cubic meters of gas, 75 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur per day. Annual production of 1.05 million tons of liquid fuel and one million tons of ethane are the other goals of developing the phases.
