Citing Iran Renewable Energy Organization’s data, he said that in order to persuade investment in generating electricity, ministry of energy has guaranteed buying renewable energies produced by private sector.
Currently just 250 megawatts of solar and wind energies are being produced in the country, he said, adding warm weather and approaching summer have raised electricity consumption to 46,5 thousand megawatts which is close to peak consumption in the country.
He noted that management of electricity consumption was one of the most important ways for leaving behind peak days of consumption asking people to take energy saving serious.
