South Pars Refinery Processes 28.5bcm/Y of Gas

TEHRAN August 12 (Shana)--South Pars Gas Complex earned 7.2 billion dollars from production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and gas condensate at its 4th gas refinery during the previous Iranian calendar year to March.

Manager of the refinery Gholamreza Bahman-Nia said the refinery's output rose by 20% during from an earlier year, saying the refinery has been a forerunner in production of sweet gas and preservation of oil reserves in the country during the period. 

The refinery processes the gas recovered from phases 6 to 8 of the supergiant South Pars gas field. 

During the year, it produced 460,000 tons of LPG and 40mt of gas condensate which fetched more than 7.2 billion dollars for SPGC.
