Iran on the Lookout for Best Offers

TEHRAN August 23(Shana)--Iran is prepared to cooperate with foreign countries, but "tasks will be entrusted with only countries that offer the best cooperation terms," Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh said.

Addressing a press conference following a Tehran meeting with South Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Yoo Il-ho, Zangeneh said, "Iran would cooperate with every country that has better proposals for carrying out activities."

"Iran has not given anyone any carte blanches," he said, adding, "South Korean companies are not renowned for their activities in the upstream oil sector."

However, he voiced Iran's interest in supplying the South Korean LNG market.

A South Korean delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day visit as the last of a series of business delegations from Europe and Asia making the trek since the July 14 to explore avenues of restored and expanded ties with Tehran.
