Iran Signs Oil Deals worth $450m with Turkmenistan

TEHRAN Sept. 01(Shana)—Iran has signed contracts worth $450m with neighboring Turkmenistan to supply the country with the engineering and technical services provided by Iranian craftsmen.

Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NOIC) said Monday evening that the company backs Iranian industrialists in their presence in neighboring countries, and has recently opened an office in Iraq to provide more support for Iranian craftsmen operating in the country.

Roknoddin Javadi further estimated Iran's technical and engineering contracts with Turkmenistan to reach 1 billion dollars by the end of the current Iranian year to March 20 2016.

He said Iranian vendors and contractors are carrying out more than 95% of construction operations in Iran's oil industry.

Javadi, who is also deputy minister of petroleum, underlined the opportunities created in Iran following the July 14 nuclear deal reached between Tehran and world powers in Vienna, and said the created atmosphere will be a considerable chance for materializing oil industry's goals.
