Spanish Delegation to Visit Iran to Seek Deals

TEHRAN Sept. 02 (Shana)-- A high-profile political and economic delegation from Spain is heading to Iran in search of new deals with the Islamic Republic in various areas.

Arriving on September 6, the 70-strong delegation of executives and representatives of leading Spanish companies and organizations will be headed by José García-Margallo y Marfil, Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. 

Along with Marfil, Spain's ministers of energy, industry and tourism as well as infrastructure, will come to Iran for the 3-day visit. 

During their stay, the Spanish officials will hold talks with Iranian officials to discuss topics like infrastructural developments in Iran as well as cooperation in oil, gas and energy industries.   

Parallel with the visit, a conference will also be held on Iran-Spain joint collaborations in different areas.

Spain ranks 23rd among the first 50 main exporters to Iran.
