Petroleum Ministry’s Research Institute Joins Refining Know-How Exporters Club

TEHRAN Oct. 10 (Shana) – The Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) signed a contract with a foreign country to design and manufacture four refining units which has upgraded the institute to the level of a designer and also helped it join the club of exporters of technical knowledge in the refining industry.

“One of the institute’s priorities this year is the export of engineering services in the downstream sector,” said Mansour Bazmi RIPI’s Dean of Downstream Campus.

“The contract is a turning point for our institute now acting as a licensor outside the country.”

He also said that the contract will not only generate hard currency for the research institute, but it will also raise its level as a provider of refining technologies and its power of competition with international companies.

The Petroleum’s Ministry’s research institute won the contract last year.
