President Rouhani Stresses Vitality in Foreign Trade, Oil Export

TEHRAN Oct. 10 (Shana) – President Hassan Rouhani said the government is going to announce its support packages to encourage production and economic growth as the country needs vitality in foreign trade, oil export, and employment.

Inaugurating the first international gathering on Iran’s industrial and trade policies on Saturday, he added, “Iran welcomes participation of all investors and has never blocked presence of the US investors.”

Ministry of Petroleum will organize two conferences to introduce Iran’s new oil contracts in Tehran and London on November 21-22 and February 22-24 respectively.

“If they can lift the impediments, the road is open before everybody,” said the president.

A number of foreign experts as well as Iranian industrialists and trade activists are attending the two-day conference to discuss the theme High-level Symposium on Industrial and Trade Policies: Promoting Exports and Developing Employment.

In September, President Rouhani expressed discontent over the country’s economy being based on oil revenues, describing the policy of his government being in line with creating tranquility and a new atmosphere for developing the country.
