Iran Exports $3.5b Aviation Fuel in March-September

TEHRAN Oct. 17 (Shana) – Director of Export and Import in the National Iranian Oil Products Company (NIOPDC) said Armenia and Afghanistan imported 3.5 million dollars of aviation fuel (ATK) from neighboring Iran in the first half of the year (March 21 – September 22).

“Iran exported 7,500 tons of ATK to Armenia and Afghanistan in the six-month period,” said Esmaeil Hasham-Firuz.

“Some 5,000 tons were exported to Armenia and 2,500 tons to Afghanistan,” he added.

Also managing director of the National Oil Products Distribution Company of Central Region in the  Markazi Province said his company exported more than 5.7 million liters of aviation fuel in the Iranian month of Shahrivar (August 23 – September 22) to Armenia and Afghanistan.

Karamat Veis-Karami told Shana that the company exported 3.1 million kg and 1.6 million kg of LPG to Afghanistan and Pakistan respectively in the same period.

According to the CEO, export figures will rise due to the plans underway to increase the export of the products to the neighboring countries.
