TEHRAN, Nov. 2 (Shana) – A delegation from a major Russian oil company is scheduled to visit Tehran in near future for negotiations on swap of oil and gas, Deputy Petroleum Minister for International Affairs Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia said.

“During the recent visit of Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak to Tehran and his talks with Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangenehm, both sides stressed planning swab of crude oil, oil products, and gas,Russia,” he told Shana.

“The talks were constructive and useful,” he added, “The Russian firms are interested in IOR and EOR projects and development of Iran’s oil and gas fields.”

Zamani-Nia also said that no project has been finalized with Russia as Iran’s new petroleum contracts will be unveiled in an upcoming conference in Tehran on November 28-29.

Speaking to reporters following a meeting with Novak on October 21, Zangeneh said it was decided that Russian oil and gas companies will take part in the conference.

“Of course, the Russian companies have been in negotiations with the oil sector and have received further information for cooperation in this regard,” he added.

Swap, multilateral ties, OPEC and non-OPEC cooperation, and next GPCF summit in Tehran, Zangeneh said, were discussed between the Iranian and Russian ministers.
