Iran Boosts Gas Output to Secure Winter Supply

TEHRAN Nov. 25 (Shana) – Iranian gas refineries have treated over 95 bcm of natural gas during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, 5% higher year-on-year.

The country also produced 1.56 mt of LPG, up 62% year-on-year, said director of operations at the National Iranian Gas Company. 

Speaking with Shana, Abdolhossein Samari said the country also produced 858,000 metric tons of ethane during last year's first seven months which rose to 889,000 mt during the same time span this year.

Iranian gas refineries also processed 573,000 tons of sulfur and 16.7 mcm of gas condensate which rose by 6% and 15% year-on-year, Samari added.
