Plant Fulfills 97% of Planned Production

TEHRAN, Feb. 14 (Shana) – Nouri (Borzouyeh) Petrochemical Plant produced 262,000 tons of petrochemical products during the period between March and December 2015 which is 97% of its envisaged output.

The plant produced 17,000 tons of benzene, over a thousand tons of orthoxylene, about 17,7 thousand tons of paraxylene, about 95 tons of heavy compounds, about 50 thousand tons of light compounds, 15.7 thousand tons of raffinate, more than 3.1 thousand tons of pentane cut, about 6 thousand tons of LPG, nearly 55 thousand tons of THTN and 2,000 tons of heavy aromatics during the period.

The company also sold 93,320 metric tons of products on the domestic markets during the month of Azar (9th month in Persian calendar, Nov. 22-Dec. 21). 

The company also exported 149,322 tons of products during the same period. 

Launched in 2007, the company was constructed by Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) with an investment of nearly IRR 8,000bn. 

The plant was ceded to Persian Gulf Petrochemical Holding Company in 2010. The holding is Middle East's biggest petrochemical holding.
