Iran Set to Win Back Oil Market Quota: FM Spokesman

TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (Shana) – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jabari-Ansari said Iran is determined to retake its crude oil export quota in the international market in the wake of removal of sanctions and implementation of the nuclear agreement.

Speaking at the weekly press conference on Monday, he said that the Ministry of Petroleum with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up taking back the quota which was reduced under oppressive sanctions against Iran.

“As an important member country of OPEC, Iran will win back its quota in the global crude oil market,” he replied to a question by Shana.

“It will take time but it will take place soon,” he added.

“Retaking Iran’s oil quota is a path which will be taken. Hence, ministries of foreign affairs and petroleum will make the necessary cooperation to materialize the objective,” the spokesman said.
