Gas Injection Breaks Record in Aghajari Oilfield

TEHRAN, April 04 (Shana) –- National Iranian South Oil Company has injected more than 54 mcm of gas during the second week of the New Year which is a record by itself in Aghajari oilfield.

Managing Director of NISOC Bijan Alipour told Shana that the company has increased injection of natural gas to the field's reserves to boost its production.

He said the company fulfilled its products goals during last Iranian calendar year which ended on March 19.

NISOC has also met its targeted naphtha and liquid gases by 96%, the official added. 

He further said the company carried out 8,600 engineering and downhole operations during last year and conducted 1,092 overhauls during the same period. 

NISOC produces over 2.75 million bpd and is deemed as Iran's biggest producer of crude oil. The company is tasked by the Iranian ministry of petroleum to boost its output to 3mbd by mid-June.
