Iran Eyes 25% Rise in Petchem Output thru New Projects

TEHRAN, April 13 (Shana) –- Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said the country has several petrochemical projects that will boost Iran's annual output by at least 25% when they come on-stream by later-March 2017.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 10th Iran Plast Exhibition in Tehran on Wednesday, the official said phase 2 of Pardis Petrochemical Plant, Marvdasht Petrochemical Plant, Kaveh Petrochemical Plant and Mahabad Petrochemical Plant will become operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

Furthermore, Kurdistan, Morvarid, phase II of Kavian, Entekhab, Takht Jamshi and Dalahoo petrochemical plants are other projects which are nearly complete and will be launched by the end of the current year.
