He made the remarks during his visit to Shahid Rajaee Port facilities.
Shahid Rajaee Port capacity for import and export of oil products should be increased, the official added.
He said that after increase in production of petroleum products and launch of more units of Persian Gulf Star Oil Company (PGSOC), answering the customers’ export needs will become more crucial and requires new capacities.
Sajjadi referred to the important role of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) of Hormozgan province for import and export of oil products and said that “We should do our best to decrease internal consumption of oil products in order to increase their export abroad.
The official said consumption of Kerosene and gas oil had decreased 20 percent in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2016).
Shahid Rajaei Port, with its advanced facilities, has loaded and unloaded 60 percent of total loading and unloading operation in the whole ports of the country. The port is located 23 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, capital of Hormozgan province.
