President Park Offers $25bn Support Package to Iran

TEHRAN, May 03, (Shana) -- South Korean President Park Geun-hye offered a financial support package worth $ 25 billion for infrastructure investment in Iran.

South Korean president made the remarks in Iran and South Korea trade meeting.
According to its 6th Development Plan, Iran wants to invest 185 billion dollars in its oil infrastructure in order to establish a giant holding in oil sector till 2020, President Park added.
Referring to the historical relations between Iran and South Korea, he said that Tehran and Seoul trade exchange was 17.4 billion dollars in 2011 but after sanctions it decreased to 6.1 billion dollars in 2015.
She declared his support for facilitation of customs and banking affairs between Tehran and Seoul, adding that Seoul has adopted a financial support package worth $ 25 billion for infrastructure investment in Iran.
