TEHRAN, May 04, (Shana) -- The availability of different feedstock for the petrochemical industry has improved due to startup of the 15th and 16th phases of South Pars gas field, Deputy Petroleum Minister for Petrochemical Affairs Marzieh Shahedaei said.

She called development of petrochemical industry the best way for execution of resistance economy and said that removal of sanctions can make a great development in Iran’s oil and gas industry.

Referring to the troubles made by sanctions for the oil and gas industry, the official said that the industry was involved in various troubles for transfer of money and technology as well as financing and buying the equipment.

“We are in talks with foreign companies for transferring technology as well as export of petrochemical products, “Shahedaei added.
