Javadi: Iran Crude Exports Exceed 2m bpd

TEHRAN, May 5 (Shana) – Deputy Minister of Petroleum Roknoddin Javadi said on Thursday that Iran’s export of crude has exceeded two million barrels per day.

Speaking after a visit to the 21st International Exhibition of Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals, Javadi said Iran’s output has now hit 3.7 million barrels per day.

“In April Iran’s average crude exports exceeded two million bpd,” according to Javadi.

Iran’s oil output will soon reach 3.8 million bpd, he added.

Iran’s gas condensates exports was 250,000 barrels per day before sanctions but it has now reached 450,000 bpd and it is hoped to continue increasing following development of South Pars gas field.

Deputy Minister of Petroleum Roknoddin Javadi says that after elimination of sanctions, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is not oriented towards a special company.

Javadi said oil industry doors are open to all western and Asian companies on condition that they will accept Iran conditions.

“As you know, Iran’s oil sells had been cut before elimination of sanctions while after sanctions, several contracts for oil sale and exports have been signed with European companies.”

He noted that the ground is prepared in Iran for investment by both western and certain Asian companies on condition that their capacity and ability falls within the domain Iran is favoring.

Javadi said the agreements signed newly for cooperation are those reached with both western and Asian companies. The share of the western companies in the agreements signed with Iran is three and that of the Asian companies is two, he added.

On the new oil contracts, he said within framework of the model, adopted by the cabinet, Iranian companies can be present in the exploration sector and that his company will choose the favorites from a list and if a company falling out of the list, his company is ready to asset it.
