Siemens says future of business in Iran is very promising

TEHRAN, May 5, (Shana) -- Benjamin Schroeder head of the communications and government affairs for the Middle East of Siemens company said that future of business in Iran is very promising.

Speaking to Shana on the sidelines of the 21st Iran’s International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, he said Siemens is very proud to back into Iranian market.
The official called the exhibition a good place for the companies to exhibit their activities, adding that Siemens is exhibiting its activities in the area of electrification automation and digitization of oil and gas market.
Siemens have never left Iran even in the sanctions era, he added.
Schroeder referred to a MoU signed between Siemens andOil Turbocompressor Company (OTC) this week and said that “We have been stable partner of Iran for over decades and we are working together with the Iranian ministries to enhance cooperation.
We see a prosperous future for the business in Iran and Siemens has the potential to help Iran to achieve its targets for increase of oil production, he added.
The official said that Siemens is a reliable business partner for Iran, adding that German and Iranians have a long history of cooperation.
Germany has been always an important partner of Iran, he added, noting that we have a strong friendship.
“We are looking forward to expand our business with Iran, “Schroeder added.
Speaking about the problems which still exist in financial relations with Tehran, he said it will take some time especially to fix the financial issues but a big delegation of Germany have already visited Iran and the topic have been addressed.
The 21st edition of Iran’s International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, a major exhibition in Iran and the Middle East, kicked off in Tehran on Thursday morning.
Around 1,900 Iranian and foreign companies are attending the show.
