178.1bn cm/d Gas Refined Last Year

TEHRAN, May 5 (Shana) – Iranian gas refineries refined 178.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas last year.

Deputy Head of National Iranian Gas Company for Operations Affairs Abdolhossein Samari told Shana on Thursday that the amount of gas refined last year shows more than six percent growth compared to that in the same period the previous year.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 21st Iran Oil Show, Samari said that last  year, phase 12 of South Pars gas field yielded 5.53 billion cubic meters of gas and phases 17 and 18 of the field did four billion cubic meters of gas.
He said Iranian gas refineries’ LNG products grew by 31 percent last yar, showing more than 2.731 million cubic meters growth compared  to the figure in the same period the previous year. 
He noted that last year 1.075 million tons of sulfur was produced in Iranian refineries, showing seven percent increase. 
Concluding his remarks, the Iranian official said that in 2014, 1.48 million metric tons of ethane was produced.
Up by 10 percent, the output reached more than 1.628 tons last year, he noted.
