Tehran Ready to Form Energy JV with Jakarta

TEHRAN, May 17 (Shana) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Tehran is ready to enter into joint ventures on energy and refining projects with Indonesia.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to enhance its ties and relations with Indonesia in technical and engineering grounds, joint investments in energy projects, and construction of dams, power plants and refineries," said the Iranian president upon reception of the letter of credence of the newly appointed Indonesian ambassador to Tehran, Okatawnew Ali Modin.

Rouhani said the two countries can also cooperate in various scientific, cultural and technological grounds besides enjoying economic ties. 

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has no limits for bolstering ties and relations with Indonesia," said the president.
