Iran, Japan to Cooperate on Energy Efficiency

TEHRAN, May 28 (Shana) -- Iran’s Institute for International Energy Studies (IIES) and Japanese Institute of Middle Eastern Economics (JIME) have agreed to cooperate on studying energy efficiency in Iran.

According to Majid Mohammadi Hosseinabadi deputy for international affairs at the IIES, this study center will prepare Iran’s energy efficiency management plan in cooperation with the JIME.

Speaking to Shana, Hosseinabadi said that IIES and JIME will ink a cooperation document in the near future to have a joint study on energy efficiency management in Iran.

IIES has already signed a Memorandum OF Understanding with JIME on transfer of technology and experience to Iran in field of energy efficiency.

According to the MoU inked between IIES and JIME, the Japanese side will finance the project.
