5 Desalination Projects Completed, Operational in NISOC

TEHRAN, June 25 (Shana) – Managing Director of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Bijan Alipour, says five desalination projects have been completed and put into operation in his company.

Alipour said the projects are expected to yield almost 500,000 bpd by March 20, 2017, marking end of the Iranian calendar year of 1395.
He told Shana that over recent months, Ahvaz Bangestan II Desalination Development Project with 30,000 barrels per day production capacity was put into operation.
He said that by the next five months, Rag Sefid I desalination project with 55,000 bpd, Gachsaran III facility with 110,000 bpd, Ahvaz desalination project with 220,000 bpd, Haftkal Sefid desalination project with 45,000 bpd and Bibi Hakimeh with 55,000 bpd production capacity will be operational.
He said the projects have now shown nearly 80 percent progresses. The projects aim to maintain production, raise quality of the crude oil and at times increase oil production, he added. 
The official said Ghale Nar Desalination Unit is among other desalination projects of the NISOC, which will be possibly operational by end of this year.
