Iran, Japan in Contract for Kiln Oil Project

TEHRAN, June 25 (Shana) – Director for production coordination and supervision at National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Saeed Mahjoubi says contract has been signed with the Japanese for feasibility studies on a project to decrease kiln oil production in Tehran Refinery.

Mahjoubi told Shana that Tehran Refinery had held talks for the purpose with Japanese JGC Company, resulting in inking of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
He said Japanese JGC and Marubeni companies had run the bid for the project and the Marubeni Company will go on with investment if the feasibility study is fruitful.
He said the project is hoped to be implemented soon.
