Persian Gulf Port to Turn into Hub of Energy, Fuel

TEHRAN, June 28 (Shana) – Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization Mohammad Saeednejad says Persian Gulf oil port will be turned into hub of energy and fuel.

Saeednejad made the remark after visiting development projects now implemented in Persian Gulf port in Shahid Rajaie Port Special Economic Zone.
He said the port turning into a hub is among main policies of his port.
He went on to say that 27 private companies are now busy on the 8,000 billion rial project.
According to the official, gasoline, basic oil and tar are the products now exported and transited via 10 jetty points.
As oil derivatives will be loaded or offloaded in the port, fuel shipment to the passing ships in Hormuz Strait will increase.
