Deputy National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) for Operations Affairs Abdolhossein Samari said on Tuesday that a working group will be formed to look into management of carbon and energy in planning management of the NIGC.
Addressing the Seminar of Carbon Management and Greenhouse Gas Emission Control, Samari said special programs are on agenda in Iranian refineries to cut flaring and fuel consumption in different sections with 50 percent cut in carbon emission in phases 12, 15 and 16.
He said a series of projects will also be run for cutting greenhouse gas emission and carbon management.
