Iran, Indonesia to Facilitate Banking Ties

TEHRAN, July 29 (Shana) – Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour on Thursday called for facilitation of Iran-Indonesia banking relations and removal of problems, if any.

Rahimpour and Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Ronald Waas on Thursday said Iranian and Indonesian banking officials should hold talks for the purpose.

Meanwhile, in the Iran-Indonesia Joint Consultative Committee meeting, Rahimpour and Director General for Asia-Pacific and African Affairs of Indonesia's Foreign Ministry, Desra Percaya, underlined removal of fiscal problems and facilitation of banking relations.


Earlier, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Hossein Qazvi and the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Indonesia's Financial Service Authority (OJK), Muliaman D. Hadad, underlined expansion of bilateral banking relations. 


Hadad said banking relations will be so important with promotion of mutual commercial transactions and there is no impediment to bilateral banking relations.
