Gas Condensate Exports Earn $3.27bn in 1st 5 Months

TEHRAN, Aug 24 (Shana) – Iran gas condensate exports earned the country $3.27 billion in the first five months of this year (started on March 20), showing 9.21 percent decline compared to the figure in the same period the previous year.

Iran Customs Administration Organization said that in the first five months of this year, export of non-oil products rose by 10.22 percent to $19.108 billion while the figure was $17.336 billion.

Iran's imports were worth $16.709 billion, down by 2.85 percent, in the period under study.

In the first five months of this year, gas condensates constituted majority of the Iranian exported items. In the period, $3.27 billion worth gas condensates were exported, showing a decline of 9.21 percent compared to the corresponding period the year before.

Liquefied Natural Gas, worth $1.94 billion, fell next in the list, followed by gasoil and liquefied hydrocarbon gas, worth $693 million, light oil and products, except gasoline, worth $586 million, and liquefied propane, worth $574 million. Also in the said period, $7.462 billion worth petrochemical products were exported, up 25.3 percent growth compared to last year's first five month figure.
