Operator of phase 19 development project Hamid Reza Masoudi said the sour gas produced at the phase is now being transferred to the inshore refinery facilities to be sweetened and then injected to the national gas distribution network.
Speaking to Shana, Masoudi said injection of the gas began in a ceremony held in the presence of Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh on Thursday.
Inauguration of the train bring the refinery's gas sweetening capacity to 40 mcm/d.
Phase 19 is being developed for production of 3 bcf/d of gas from the supergiant South Pars Gas Field.
