Boosting Tehran-Seoul Trade Ties a Must: Top Trader

TEHRAN, Sept 24 (Shana) – Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization Mojtaba Khosrotaj says Iran and South Korea must enhance their trade ties in a sustainable manner, saying the two Asian states have planned to establish mutual trade desks at their relevant organizations for traders to better get to know each other's potentialities.

Speaking during a visit to S. Korea, Khosrotaj, who is also the Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, said formation of mutual research centers with Korean companies and cooperation in production and export of goods with Korean Brands are some of the main strategies Iran is seeking in trade with South Korea.

He said promoting Iran's share in assembly of items, introduction and application of items produced by Korean companies are other issued focused by Korean companies in cooperation with Iranian firms.

The official further said that Korean companies interested in cooperation with Iran must follow Iran's trade regulations.

Khosrotaj headed a trade delegation to South Korean last week, with the aim of enhancing trade ties between the two states.
