Import of 60 Oil Industry Items Forbidden

TEHRAN, Sept 26 (Shana) – The head of Manufacturing Support and Procurement Directorate of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Ramin Ghalambor Dezfuli, says import of 60 oil industry items is forbidden.

Ghalambor made the remark in a seminar marking formation of the reference committees in charge of specifying standards of 10 groups of home-made commodities.

He said the Ministries of Petroleum, Industries, Mines and Trade will jointly oversee import of the said groups of items.

He went on to say that for the time being there are 100 main commodity items, manufacture of more than 70 percent of which being indigenized.

He concluded that for the time being, the country is self-sufficient in production of many of the oil industry items.
