Rouhani: Tehran-Nairobi Cooperation to Expand

TEHRAN, Sept 26 (Shana) – President Hassan Rouhani says ground is prepared more than ever for expansion of Tehran-Nairobi cooperation in the post-JCPOA era and elimination of sanctions.

President Rouhani made the remark in a meeting with the visiting Kenyan Parliament Speaker Justin Muturi on Sunday.

He said Tehran welcomes growing relations with Nairobi especially in economic areas.

The President also voiced Iran’s readiness to help projects in Kenya in power, roads, dams and energy sectors.

He encouraged the Kenyan government to facilitate presence of the Iranian private sector companies there by offering facilities.

President Rouhani said promoting relations between the two countries in tourism, parliamentary exchanges and technological and educational areas was a must.

He also stressed the need for uprooting terrorism as a global problem.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan official said the two nations could cooperate in regional and international areas.
