$8.698bn Half Yearly Revenues out of Petrochemical Exports

TEHRAN, Sept 27 (Shana) – Export of petrochemical products in the first half of this year (started on March 20) earned the country $8.698 billion.

The exports earnings in the period shows increase of 22.4 percent compared to the figure in the same period the previous year.

The petrochemicals accounted for 40.07 percent of non-oil exports in the first half of last year.

According to the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, share of other goods, excluding petrochemicals, in the total non-oil exports in the period was 43.82 percent. In the period, 9.512 billion worth goods, excluding gas condensates and petrochemicals, were exported.

According to Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Petrochemical Affairs Marzieh Shahdaie about 15.5 percent growth was observed in petrochemical output in the past three years from seven percent growth last year.
