The platform for phase 19 of South Pars Gas Field will become operational in the near future with the capacity of extraction of 14 million cubic feet of gas per day, Masoodi added.

He noted that 22 million cubic feet of gas is now extracted from the offshore section of the Phase 19 and after being refined, 19 million cubic feet of the sweet gas is injected to the cross country pipeline.

The environmental issues have been highly respected in completion of the platform 19A, the official added.

Phase 19 of the South Pars gas field is located in border regions with Qatar, which shares the field with Iran in Persian Gulf waters. It is a leading project in new development operations over the field.
