NISOC to Indigenize Manufacture of 14,000 Oil Equipment

TEHRAN, Oct 21 (Shana) – Managing Director of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Bijan Alipour says his company is to follow up projects to indigenize production of 14,000 oil equipment and ban their imports.

Alipour said hence, import of the items produced inside will be prohibited.

He noted that for the time being, 70 percent of the NISOC oil project equipment and items are indigenized. 

He noted that about 80 percent of the equipment needed for drilling and petrochemical facilities are indigenized and in total, more than 70 percent of industrial needs and equipment are indigenized.
