Topsoe to Invest in Iranian Petchem Industry

TEHRAN, Oct 22 (Shana) – Danish catalysis company Haldor Topsøe is ready to invest in Iranian petrochemical industry.

Association of Petroleum Industry Corporation (APIC) says the new round of talks between Iranian petroleum industry officials and Danish Topsoe company focused on investment and transfer of technology, knowledge and technical know-how on new Iranian petrochemical projects in the post-JCPOA era.

Topsoe senior directors and Iranian National Petroleum Company Chief Marzieh Shahdaie as well as the APIC Secretary General Ahmad Mahdavi attended the talks on the sidelines of the K-Plastics & Rubber Exhibition that is underway in Düsseldorf, Germany, from the 19 to 26 October.

Topsoe, that was founded in 1940 and has over 2700 employees all over the world, of which 2100 work in Denmark, will contribute to Iranian urea, ammonia, and methanol projects.

Topsoe has also held talks with German Thyssen Krupp Engineering AG for partnership in investment in Iranian petrochemical projects. The latter German company is to contribute to Iranian PVC projects.
