Iran, Malaysia Discuss Bolstered Trade Ties

TEHRAN, Oct 22 (Shana) – Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh hosted a meeting with Mustapa Mohamed, Malaysia's Minister for International Trade and Industry, in his Tehran office on Saturday, during which the two sides discussed enhanced economic ties especially in oil and energy fields.

Heading an economic delegation from Malaysia, Mustapa arrived in Tehran on Friday.

Representatives of renowned companies and senior businessmen and entrepreneurs are accompanying the country’s minister in his visit.

Some of the areas of interest for the Malaysian company representatives include coffee, tea, cocoa, dairy products, oil and gas, renewable energies, engineering, shipbuilding and offshore oil and gas rigs, power generation, smart network control systems, e-commerce, etc., reported Tehran Times. 

During the meeting, Zangeneh said: "This visit taking place a short while after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's visit to Malaysia has a positive message in it."
