NITC, Singaporean Tru-Marine Co. Sign MoU

TEHRAN, Oct 22 (Shana) -- The National Iranian Tanker Co. (NITC) and Singaporean company have signed an agreement of cooperation in technology and information sharing and repair of turbochargers for main engines and diesel ship generators.

The NITC Technical and Navigation Operations Director Akbar Jebelameli says the deal was signed on the sidelines of the 18th Marine Industries Exhibition.

Jebelameli said signatories to the contract were Azarpad Engineering & Procurement Company on behalf of the NITC and the Singaporean Tru Marine Company. 

According to the NITC, the Singaporean company and Azarpad Company will under the contract jointly hold a technical and educational workshop in Bandar Abbas.

The official hoped that the deal will help transfer of knowledge and expertise in the field of turbocharger repair as the country lacks such a know-how.

He added that the deal will help indigenize repair of main ship equipment and lead Iranian companies to enter the scene.
