Phase III of Pardis Ammonia, Urea Project 94% Complete

TEHRAN, Oct 25 (Shana) -- Phase III of the urea and ammonia project of Pardis Petrochemical Plant has made 94% progress so far.

The engineering and design section of the projects is nearly complete with 98.2% progress but its installation and startup phases have made 84% procedure.

Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, director of production control at National Petrochemical Company (NPC), has said the project is planned to come online by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20 2017. 

He has said China, India and several southeastern Asian countries are in dire need of ammonia and urea.

Iran annually consumes only 2 million tons of urea and can export the rest for gaining revenues.
