IOTCO Ready for Cooperation with Dutch Companies

TEHRAN, Oct 26 (Shana) – Managing director of Iran Oil Terminals Company (IOTCO) Pirouz Mousavi says IOTCO is ready for cooperation with Dutch companies.

"We can cooperate with Dutch companies in renovation of jetties, loading arms, reserving facilities and SPMs," Mousavi said in an interview with reporters on the sidelines of the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC), that is the only dedicated offshore energy event in the Netherlands.

He said the amount of crude oil and gas condensate exports of Iran has neared the pre-sanctions level, while all the facilities and equipment and the reserving, loading and crude and gas condensate export facilities and structures have been renovated and upgraded.

He said some SPMs used in Iranian oil terminals for loading oil consignments and gas condensates are made by Dutch companies, so they can contribute to supply of the equipment.

Once facilities are renovated, the berthing and concurrent loading of 10 oil tankers in Khark oil terminals, which are responsible for about 93 percent of Iranian crude exports, will be possible and that's a big success for Iranian national economy, added Mousavi.

The official said the IOTCO is striving for renovation of the crude oil reservoir and export facilities as well as gas condensate facilities of the country based on international standards. "Concurrently, domestic companies address major portion of our needs and Dutch activists can contribute to that end," he added.

Mousavi elaborated on the capacity of Iranian crude export facilities and said Kharg export terminal has two jetties: T jetty in the east and Azarpad jetty in the west of Khark Island. "The Eastern jetty, being 1840 meters long, has the capacity for concurrent berthing of six oil tankers up to 300,000 tons capacity. While the huge oil tankers with the capacity of more than 500,000 tons can berth in the western jetty. In the Khark oil terminal, highest record of berthing a day was registered, while  Iranian and foreign oil tankers carried more than seven million barrels of crude oil to the destination."

Founded in 2008, the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) has been breaking records year after year. This annual event is focused on the complete offshore energy industry, from oil & gas to wind and marine energy and will be held on 25 and 26 October 2016 in the Europe Complex of the Amsterdam RAI.

A fascinating group of business leaders, buyers, investors, engineers and other interested parties within the offshore energy sector will get the opportunity to meet each other in three large halls of the Amsterdam RAI, totaling an area of more than 26.000 square meters.

This offers a good platform to network and to create new business opportunities. The 2015 edition attracted 11.865 unique attendees representing 86 nationalities.
