NIOC's Offshore Investment Opportunities Introduced at OEEC

TEHRAN, Oct 26 (Shana) – Opportunities of investment in the offshore section of Iranian oil industry were outlined by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) at the Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference 2016, that is underway in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Senior Investment and Business Management expert at the NIOC, Talin Mansoorian, on Tuesday briefed participants in the OEEC on opportunities of the NIOC investment in the offshore section.

Mansoorian highlighted strategies, procedures and frameworks of investment in the NIOC and said the oil industry of Iran, which is the first country worldwide in terms of gas reserves and the fourth country in terms of oil reserves, reserves a special standing in terms of attraction of capital.

He referred to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) upstream activities in the fields of exploration, production and development and said the new model of oil contracts serve as a new roadmap for absorption of capital and technology transfer.

"The NIOC has put on agenda development of its fields, using a basket of contracts such as the buy-back and new model of oil contracts, which is the advanced model of the buy-back contracts."

He referred to advantages of the new model of oil contracts like their being long-term and their mandates for technology transfer. He added that pre-qualification of international companies has started and upon receiving information of the volunteering companies in November, the outcome of such verification will be announced in December this year.

He also pointed to the NIOC new strategy to cede the LNG and NGL projects to the private sector and said the NIOC welcomes Foreign Direct Investment in the projects.

This year, the Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference 2016, represents an exception edition, hosting the `Iran National Pavilion' and a unique delegation consisting of more than 70 decision-makers, top influencers, and managers, representing the top-levels of Iran's Oil and Gas Industry. 

Two `Technical Sessions' dedicated to Iran – Offshore Opportunities in Iran and Creating a Successful Business Strategy for the Iranian market – will allow for a more focused and multidimensional insight into Iran's oil and gas market, with an impressive line-up of keynote speakers.

Founded in 2008, the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) has been breaking records year after year. This annual event is focused on the complete offshore energy industry, from oil & gas to wind and marine energy and will be held on 25 and 26 October 2016 in the Europe Complex of the Amsterdam RAI.

 A fascinating group of business leaders, buyers, investors, engineers and other interested parties within the offshore energy sector will get the opportunity to meet each other in three large halls of the Amsterdam RAI, totaling an area of more than 26.000m2. 

This offers a good platform to network and to create new business opportunities. The 2015 edition attracted 11.865 unique attendees representing 86 nationalities. 

Offshore Energy 2016 expectations are 650 exhibitors, 11,500 visitors. It occupies a space of 23,500 sq.m and number of delegates to the event are 1,200 and the exhibitors and the visitors and conference delegates represent over 86 nationalities.
