Conditions Ripe for Iran-Finland Petchem Cooperation

TEHRAN, Oct 27 (Shana) – Head of the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mojtaba Khosrowtaj says conditions are prepared for Finland investment in the downstream sector of Iranian petrochemical industry.

Khosrowtaj made the remark in the inaugural session of the conference on Iran-Finland Economic Relations  held in Tehran on Wednesday.

He said, “Many projects and plans in the downstream sector of Iranian petrochemical sector are ready to be implemented. Finnish companies can cooperate with Iran in providing the country with necessary technology and know-how and in joint investment.”

He added that regarding the infrastructures and investments made in various industrial sectors, the two sides should look for ways of joint investment and technology transfer.

Addressing a group of 24 Finnish companies present in the meeting, Khosrowtaj said Iran and Finaldn can cooperate in clean wind, solar and thermal energies and fossil-thermal power plants.

Concluding his remarks, Khosrowtaj said expansion of Iran-Finland cooperation in mining sector will pave the ground for investment in the mining sector and expansion of mineral products.
