President Upbeat with Iran's Brilliant OPEC Success

TEHRAN, Dec. 01 (Shana) – President Hassan Rouhani has hailed Iran's success in the oil markets and OPEC which on Wednesday decided a production of 3.9 million barrels per day by the country.

President Rouhani in an address to ceremony marking inauguration of development project, "Thanks God Almighty, flags of Iranian success are hoisted one after other over recent months and we have gained good success in various domains."

The president said Iran's success to raise the oil production and exports by one million barrels per day within a period of several months has been amazing.

He said oil production in Azadegan was 45,000 barrels per day but after inauguration of new projects in the region,  reached 300,000 barrels per day. "This is a major gesture fulfilled through endeavors of all directors, technicians and workers in the oil industry. Had it not been for progress in development of the gas fields and gas production over the past one or two years, there would have been no very high potential in gas supply to major portion of the country's regions and under freezing and unexpected cold weather."

Voicing pleasure with the positive development in oil prices over the past months in light of efforts of Iranian officials, President Rouhani said, "Certain countries had arranged plots against Iran connection with oil and they were then fallen in the trap themselves: In the past two years, oil prices fell to their lowest level in Iran history compared to those in the past years and reached the one third of the former price. So, all oil producers had to withdraw from their reserves: Saudi Arabia, a country with 10.5 million barrels per day production, had to withdraw almost 100 billion dollars from its oil reserves; however, we managed to deposit 20 percent of the country's oil revenues in the Forex Reserve Fund, annually in the past two years."

"Such a success is sign of the power of Iranian nation and government, whereas such a great success is not reflected in certain media and the radio and TV."
