Hitachi Resumes Cooperation with FJGRC

TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (Shana) – Japanese Hitachi Company has resumed cooperation with Iran's Fajr-e-Jam Gas Refining Company (FJGRC).

The FJGRC Managing Director Hadi Hashemzadeh told reporters on Sunday that Japanese Hitachi Company will contribute to construction of the second powerplant of the FJGRC with the target electricity generation capacity of 82.5 megawatts per hour.

Farhang said construction of the power plant had been on agenda in the Iranian year 1385 (2006-07) but due to sanctions it was not possible.

"Following implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and presence of Japanese Hitachi Company in the refinery, construction of the power plant has been put on agenda once again," said Hashemzadeh.

He noted that up to so far, two units of the refinery are operational and the third unit will be put into operation by end of this year (March 20).

The official said his company had produced 4.4 million barrels of gas condensates, exporting them to South Korea, India and Japan in the first eight months (March 20-November 20).

He said the refinery's gas condensates are exported after shipment to Sirraf port.

He noted that since starting activity, his company has produced 269 million barrels of gas condensates.
