Iran Ups Exports from PSEEZ

TEHRAN, Dec. 06 (Shana) – Iran's non-oil exports from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) has witnessed an eye-catching growth in the Aban month of the current Iranian calendar year (October 22, 2016-November 20, 2016).

Speaking to Shana, PSEEZ managing director said on Tuesday that volume of Iran's non oil exports and condensates from the Pars Special Energy Zone has experienced 150 percent growth in terms of weigh and 122 percent growth in terms of value during this Iranian calendar month of Aban in compare to the same period of time previous year.

Iran has exported 1.24 million tones of non-oil products worth of 447 million dollars abroad which in compare to the previous year which Iran has exported 548,000 tones worth of 241 million dollar shows 126 percent growth in terms of weight and 86 percent growth in terms of value, Mahdi Yousefi added.

The official noted that Iran has exported 1.23 million tones of gas condensates worth of 486 million dollars in the calendar month of Aban.

Iran's gas condensate export has witnessed 179 and 171 percent growth in terms of weigh and value in compare to the similar period last year respectively, Yousefi added.

He said that Iran exported up to 21 million tones of oil and non-oil products worth of 9.88 billion dollars from the PSEZ during the first eight months of this Iranian calendar year(started March 20, 2016).

Iran had exported just 15 million tons of oil and non-oil products worth of 7.9 billion dollars in the same period during the last Iranian calendar year, Yousefi added.

He noted that in general, Iran's oil and non-oil exports from the PSEEZ has experienced 45 percent growth in terms of weigh and 24 percent growth in terms of value during the first eight months of this Iranian calendar year.

Light and heavy polyethylene, diethylene glycol, mono-ethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, carbamide, parazilin, propane, butane and methanol are major products exported from the PSEEZ to 29 countries.

Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) was established in ‎‏1998‏‎ for the utilization of South ‎Pars oil and gas resources and encouraging commercial activities in the field of oil, gas and ‎petrochemical industries.‎

Facilitating for the on-time execution of various oil and gas projects, providing the appropriate ‎foundation to attract local and foreign partnership with the aim of developing oil, gas and ‎petrochemical industries as well as inter-related and downstream industries and creating local job ‎opportunities and attracting skilled and semi-skilled workforce from neighboring provinces with ‎regards to its positive effects on economic prosperity in the provinces of Bushehr, Fars and ‎Hormozgan were the main objectives of establishment of PSEEZ.
