Iran-Russia ٍEnergy Committee to Meet in Tehran

TEHRAN, Dec. 07 (Shana) – The Iran-Russia energy committee will convene for the first time in Tehran on December 11.

Presided over by Deputy Iranian Petroleum Minister in International Affair and Trading Amir Hossein Zamaninia, the 3-day gathering is being held with a 30-member Russian delegation with the aim of bolstering mutual cooperation in energy projects. 

The meeting is being held under the framework of the 13th join economic commission of the two major oil producers.

Iran-Russia trade stood at 1.5 billion dollars in 2014 but rose by at least 30% in 2015. It is estimated to grow over 70% in 2016.
