Boosting Crude Oil Export Serving Economic Resistance Cause: Rouhani

TEHRAN, March 14 (Shana) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said his administration's measures to increase export of crude oil and gas condensate have been in line with the Resistance Economy instructed by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

"Undoubtedly, the country is in a better state now than the past," said the president. 

Mr. Rouhani said Iran exported an average number of 2.6 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20 while the exports stood at 1.3 mbd last year.

He said several new phases of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field will become operational, saying 11 phases of the field came online under his administration. 

President Rouhani took office in 2013.
