Iran Sees Enhanced Export of Oil Products from Rajaei Port

TEHRAN, June 24 (Shana) -- Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran is to launch three new docks at Shahid Rajaei Port to bring the facility's export capacity to 34 million tons of petroleum products annually.

 

According to the organization, Mohammad Saeid Nejad, deputy minister of roads and urban development, said once the docks are operational, vessels with up to 100,000 tons of freight capacity can call at the port which will bring the facility's export capacity to 34 million tons annually. 

Iran exports gasoline, gasoil, naphtha, gas condensate, fuel oil and vessel fuel through the port.

He said IRR1,600b has been invested in construction of the docks. 

Saeid Nejad further said that 15 cranes are being installed at the port in order to provide the required infrastructure for boosting export capacity of the transit complex.
